Donald Trump warns India, Modi responds

US President Donald Trump talked with Indian PM Narendra Modi on Saturday April 6th on Corona virus pandemic and requested Modi to help with hydroxychloroquine supplies to treat COVID-19 patients in the US.

The Indian government earlier banned export of HCQ as it has to be in stock for 130 billion Indian people. Trump who apparently got miffed threatened to retaliate in his latest speech. USA has been supporting India with economic sanctions. Indian government has now agreed to export hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) and paracetamol to other nations that are badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic including America.

“In view of the humanitarian aspects of the pandemic, it has been decided that India would licence paracetamol and HCQ in appropriate quantities to all the needy countries,” the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson said.
