Saptagiri LLB (Saptagiri) is a struggling lawyer who lands in Hyderabad with big dreams. In a bid to get popular, he accepts a challenging case with a high profile top lawyer (Sai Kumar) in the opposition. How Sapthagiri beats all odds fighting against corrupt system forms the story.
Saptagiri LLB is an adulterated remake of Bollywood acclaimed film ‘Jolly LLB’. Director attempts to commercialize the film with all sorts of masala ingredients. The first half of the film is filled with slapstick comedy and over the board silly scenes. Actual story begins from interval, however, the narration is deviated most of the time. The plot appears pale amid unnecessary commotion. The film gets somewhat serious only in pre-climax. The courtroom scenes with some hardhitting dialogues are the only things that leave an impression. Otherwise, the film is a disappointment as a whole.
Sapthagiri is good in serious and emotional scenes but he doesn’t deliver the comedy and entertainment expected from him. He tried to showcase his massy side with some dance and fight sequences which didn’t touch the right chord either. Sai Kumar is apt as wicked senior lawyer. Sapt has been executed nicely.
Background Music is cool but songs are loud and jarring. Cinematography is decent. Meddled screenplay plays foul with the film and direction is amateur.
Bottom-line: Sapthagiri LLB is silly and serious at the sometime
