He gathers support of 60 Palegarhs and people of Rayalaseema to wage a war against British empire. He is branded a Bandit and reward to captivate him is announced. Despite strong resistance and audacious fight, British kill many of Narasimha Reddy’s men and close aides. London fears that it could turn into a massive freedom struggle and send several troops and ammunition to capture him. Finally with the help of inside traitors, Narasimha Reddy is captured by British and hanged to death.

SyeRaa Screenplay:

Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is visual grandeur made on lavish canvas. Several cinematic liberties are taken to make it a commercial crowd appealing flick. Hero elevation and many more mass elements take front seat and historic facts are put in trunk. However, the film has abundant goose bump moments. More importantly, Syeraa ignites patriotism throughout. Surender Reddy took care that the film gives high at regular intervals.

First half may be slow paced till the actual story begins. But the romantic triangle story is well etched and it appeals to the family crowd. Terrific interval fight and bang takes the film to high and the graph almost continues in second half with massive battle sequence. Climax is the main highlight of the movie that it will haunt audience who leave theater with emotionally fulfilled.

Chiranjeevi brings Narasimha Reddy with his riveting performance. Amitabh Bachchan is great as his guru. Tamannaah delivers a powerpacked performance shadowing Nayanthara. Sudeep stands out with his attitude. Vijay Sethupathi is good. Jagapathi Babu gets another decent role.

BGM and Music are decent. Cinematography by Ratnavelu is top notch. Fight choreography needs special mention. Dialogues by Sai Madhav Burra are also reason for many goosebumps.

Bottom-line: Twirl moustache with Telugu pride
