Stephen Hawking dies at 76


Renowned physicist and cosmologist Stephen Hawking died at 76 in Cambridge. The award winning scientist made several ground-breaking discoveries like gravitational singularities, the prediction that black holes emit blackbody radiation. He was the author of ‘A Brief History of Time’ that had been a bestselling scientific novel.
Stephen Hawking was born on January 8th, 1942 in Oxford, England. He was diagnosed  with motor neuron disease at the age of 21, it gradually paralyzed him, confining  him to a wheelchair. Hawking lost his voice too and he had been on computer-aided speech system.
However, he continued his research. He had been predicting about aliens and their invasions in future, he advised not to try to contact them. Hawking said that there is no God and warned that god’s particle would wipe out the universe. He appeared in ‘The Theory of Everything’, a biopic on his life that won Oscars. He also appeared in famous American series ‘The Simpsons’.
