Central government has announced Rs 6000 per year under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme in Union Budget presented Finance Minister Piyush Goyal.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi seems to be inspired by KCR’s Rythu Bandhu through which 12000 is being paid to farmers. It helped in way for TRS to win elections in Telangana.
As per Kisan Samman Nidhi, farmers with less than 5 acres of land are eligible for the benefit. Each farmer will get Rs 6000 per year deposited in their banks in three installments.
The first installment of Rs 2000 will be credited this month and second installment before April.
Around 12 crore farmers across India will benefit through this scheme and it is estimated to cost 75,000 crore per year to the government.
