Amala Paul gave clarification regarding tax evasion news. She said “The daily newspaper is publishing false news for their publicity. I paid more than one crore as tax this year. I am respectable citizen of this country and I abide by the rules of it. I will buy any property all over India for that I need not take permission from the newspaper. According to GST, the tax is same all over India so there is no such thing as I evaded tax”.
There was news that Amala Paul has evaded tax for about 20cr by buying a car in Puducherry as the union territories will have lower tax rates.
