Tamil Nadu Governor Banwarilal Purohit shocked with his weird behaviour at a press conference held after a woman professor of Virudhu Nagar was arrested in a sex scandal, she claimed to have shared rapport with the Governor.
Towards the end of the conference, Banwarilal Purohit got close to a woman journalist named Laxmi Subramanian and patted on her cheek. This left onlookers in shock.
Laxmi Subramanian shared the pic and tweeted, “Washed my face several times. Still not able to get rid of it. So agitated and angered Mr Governor Banwarilal Purohit. It might be an act of appreciation by you and grandfatherly attitude. But to me you are wrong.”[sic]
Journalists union demanded unconditioned apology from Purohit for touching woman without her consent.
Banwarilal Purohit rendered apology and said that he did so thinking her as his daughter.
