Telangana Chief Minister KCR is set to expand his cabinet on January 18th. Speculations are rife that KTR may not be given any ministry in the first phase of cabinet expansion. Instead he would be entrusted the responsibility of strengthening the party in upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
TRS would be eyeing on all the 16 Lok Sabha seats. As known, KTR has been appointed as party working president after the election victory. However, buzz also has it that KTR will be continued with his previous portfolio i.e. IT, Urban Development and Panchayat Raj Ministry.
Former Irrigation Minister Harish Rao is expected to be given a crucial post in the cabinet expansion to take place after Sankranthi. Former minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy and former deputy speaker Padma Devender Reddy are top contenders for Speaker.
