Story:

In “Ooru Peru Bhairavakona,” Basava (Sundeep Kishan), a stunt double in films, finds himself in desperate need of money and resorts to stealing bridal jewelry. Accompanied by his friend John (Viva Harsha), they encounter Agraharam Geetha (Kavya Thapar) after she’s been in an accident. As they help her, they end up in the mysterious Bhairavakona, where they experience strange occurrences, leading to revelations about their intertwined fates and the enigma surrounding the place.

Highlights:

Sundeep Kishan delivers a sincere performance, showcasing versatility in his role. His chemistry with Viva Harsha adds depth to the narrative. Kavya Thapar shines in her role, while Viva Harsha and Vennela Kishore provide comedic relief with their well-executed characters.

The film promises humor and delivers with laughter-inducing moments, thanks to the performances of the supporting cast.

Drawbacks: The love track between Sundeep Kishan and Varsha Bollamma lacks depth due to insufficient screen time, hindering emotional connection. Critical scenes fail to evoke the intended impact, and the placement of chartbuster songs feels out of sync with the narrative flow.

Ooru Peru Bhairavakona Movie Review Rating | Gulte

Despite incorporating multiple genres, the execution falls short, particularly in building suspense and maintaining audience engagement. The rushed pacing in the second half and abrupt ending detract from the overall viewing experience.

Technical Aspects:

Shekar Chandra’s music adds charm to the film, albeit being somewhat disconnected from the storyline. Cinematography by Raj Thota captures the essence of the village settings effectively. However, editing and VFX could have been more polished to enhance the viewing experience.

Verdict:

“Ooru Peru Bhairavakona” ambitiously blends fantasy and romance but falls short of expectations. While it offers some engaging moments and comedic relief, weak execution in the second half hampers its impact. With stronger emotional and thrilling elements, the film could have been more satisfying. Recommended for viewing with tempered expectations.
