Former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK chief Karunanidhi passed away last night. Political veteran had been suffering with ailment at Kauvery Hospital for past few days. Tamil Nadu politics cannot be separated from Karunanidhi. He also left strong impact on national politics. Karunanidhi had special relationship with film industry as he had written script several films including Telugu ones.
South Indian film industry is mourning the passing away of Karunanidhi. Several film celebs have paid respects. Hero Manchu Manoj shared a special note as a tribute to Karunanidhi. “From a screen writer in Tamil industry to being the CM of Tamil Nadu for 5 times…The most senior leader who completed 50yrs as DMK president! Respect to Karunanidhi garu & his contribution to the state & Tamil literature. Deepest condolences to his family,” wrote Manoj on his twitter.
Having been brought up in Chennai, Manoj seems to have special bonding with Tamil Nadu. Interestingly, Manoj played Tamil Liberation Tiger leader fighting for Tamils in Srilanka in his recent film ‘Okkadu Migiladu’.
