Akkinenis share good rapport with Telangana government, especially minister KTR. It is well known that Samantha Akkineni has been appointed brand ambassador of Telangana Handloom weavers. Nagarjuna often heaps praises on TRS Government and KCR. It is said that Nagarjuna has been favoured in his N Convention center land dispute. There were complaints that the function hall has been built occupying a lake and the land belongs to Gurukul trust.
However, the issue sidetracked with Nag influencing the government. Annapurna Studios seven acres land also was in dispute. Now, all things seem to be sorted out. Now, KTR seems to expect a favour from Nagarjuna in return. The minister plans to build a road that joins Banjara Hills and Ameerpet via Krishna Nagar, Yousufguda. But as Annapurna Studios is located on road No. 2 and it’s a dead end.
So, KTR wants Nagarjuna to contribute Annapurna Studios land to lay a straight road down the hill through Jawahar Nagar joining Krishna Nagar. KTR wishes to construct a 100 feet road, if not at least it will be 80 feet wide. Government has requested 40 feet from Annapurna Studios but Nag has agreed to give away 20-feet. Talks are going on. Hope, Nag agrees as the road will ease the traffic and save distance to the commuters. Estimated cost of the road is Rs 8 Crore for the 80-feet road.
