Director Sukumar has cleared the due of singer Ghantala Venkata Lakshmi who lent her vocals for the superhit song ‘Jigelu Rani’ from ‘Rangasthalam.’
A news channel has covered the story of Venkata Lakshmi who was cheated by mediator despite music composer Devi Sri Prasad pay the remuneration. Getting to know about the singer’s plight, director Sukumar reacted promptly and he reportedly sent a cheque of Rs 2 Lakhs.
Upon receiving the cheque, singer Venkata Lakshmi thanked Sukumar for his kind gesture. She also said that she got calls from couple of music composers and they have offered to given an opportunity.
