Budget 2019 presented by Finance Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday is being cheered by middle class public and farmers as tax limit for showering benefits on both the sections of people. Film industry too is happy with the budget as it included anti-camcording provision in the Cinematography Act to control piracy.
Anti-camcording provision is considered a significant step in curtailing piracy which is due to which film industry has been bearing heavy loses.
Stong action can be taken against offenders who shoot content through camera or mobile. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) is set to amend the laws to prevent piracy and take stringent action against violators. The accused may have be sentenced to three years jail and fined up to Rs 10 lakhs.
Moreover, Piyush Goyal also announces single window system in getting permissions for foreign locations shootings.
