Mamata Banerjee is staging dharna against central government as ‘save the constitution’ protest. Dharna enterted 3rd day today.
The row started with CBI booking Rajeev Kumar, the chief of Kolkata Police, of being a “potential accused” in the Saradha and Rose Valley Ponzi schemes.
CBI officers were detained on Sunday in Kolkata after they tried to arrest Rajeev Kumar .
CM Mamata Banerjee sat on Dharna against CBI and center.
“The Kolkata Police Commissioner is among the best in the world. His integrity, bravery and honesty are unquestioned,” tweeted she.
DMK and RJD have extended supported Mamata’s dharna. Bihar leader Tejashwi Yadav and DMK’s Kanimozhi have met her. There is high drama like situation in Kolkata as rumours are rife that Mamata may be arrested.
Actress turned politician Vijaya Santhi slammed Telangana CM KCR for keeping mum on the issue. She alleged that KCR is on BJP’s side on this matter. As known, KCR sought Mamata’s support in his Federal Front, she wasn’t so keen to join him. Instead she joined hands with Congress and Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP.
