At the Rising India summit 2023, Kajal Aggarwal shared her thoughts on the film industries of South and North India. Despite being raised in Mumbai, she expressed a deep connection with Hyderabad and Chennai, where she has worked extensively. Kajal praised the South film industry for its warm and accepting nature while acknowledging that Hindi films offer greater exposure.
According to Kajal, the South Indian film industry boasts of a strong work ethic, exceptional directors and high-quality content, which is not always the case in Hindi cinema. She emphasized that cinema should not be divided by language and that the values and ethics in the South Indian film industry are truly noteworthy.
Kajal is currently working on Kamal Haasan’s Indian 2 and recently joined the sets of Nandamuri Balakrishna’s next film. She plans to continue doing films in the future.
