It’s ‘Mahanati’ mania all over. The film is getting all the critical appreciation and is simultaneously minting money at the box office. Post the theatrical release, ‘Mahanati’ satellite rights have become hot cakes.
As per the buzz, popular entertainment channel, Zee Telugu has acquired television rights of ‘Mahanati’ for Rs 20 crore. This is a huge number and the makers have pocketed very decent amount. However, its just a speculation.
Fact is that Mahanati satellite rights are yet to be sold. Makers are quoting 18 crores, Gemini, MAA and Zee Telugu are vying for it. Meanwhile, discussions are on for digital rights with Amazon Prime and Yupp TV.
‘Mahanati’ is based on the life of actress Savitri while Keerthy Suresh played the title role.
