Men usually take their fathers business. But two Telugu ladies have taken their fathers responsibilities as a producer and winning hearts with content driven movies. Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt are coming with the legendary actress Savitri biopic. Here is a brief on their experience doing Mahanati.
When asked on how Mahanati happened? Priyanka Dutt said “after ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ I was planning to do another movie and approached Naga Ashwin. He suggested doing Biopic of Mahanati Savitri. That is how it started and my mom has also been the driving force for doing the movie.”
Swapna Dutt said it took two long years for scripting. “We all know very less regarding Savitri and her lifestyle, we meet everyone who knows her to be familiar with how things happened in those days. As a part of it, we met her daughter Vijaya Chamundeswari to erect a set of Savitri once cherished. She was surprised to see the same set before her eyes she once lived with her mom. On overall we got a mini-museum of Savitri in the process of making the movie.
Keerthy Suresh is essaying Mahanti Savitri in the biopic. Samantha Akkineni, Vijay Devarkonda, Prakash Raj, Mohan babu And other are also part of the multilingual film. The Film is slated for May 9th Release worldwide
