Tainted mining baron Gali Janardhan Reddy is trying establish steel plant in YSR Kadapa district. He is lobbying at center with his BJP links.
Gali has been protesting in demand for steel plant. TDP alleged that he is doing so to divert attention from hunger strike of TDP MP CM Ramesh for special category status. BJP and YSRCP joined hands to dilute interests of state by instigating Gali to protest for steel plant, opine TDP leaders.
Meanwhile, a report from center stated that its not feasible to set up steel plant in Kadapa. TDP is demanding that incase steel plant is set up it should be made public sector but not to be given to private parties like Gali.
