AP government’s budget for next financial year received mixed reactions from public and opposition.
Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu presented the Budget allocating 2,26,177.53 Crores. Six new schemes have been announced. Two of them have been welcomed by all sections. In a bid to woo farmers, TDP government has announced Annadata Sukheebhava scheme which seems to be inspired by KCR’s Rythu Bandhu.
Rs 10k will be deposited to farmers for every acre of agricultural land in two installments. It will also benefit tenant farmers. State government has allocatedd 5000 crore for Annadata Sukheebhava scheme. Two crore acres of land is estimated to be covered under this scheme. Unemployed allowance has been increased to 2000 from existing 1000. 1200 crore has been allocated for Unemployed allowance. 10,401 has been allocated for pensions for senior citizens and specially abled.
Opposition criticized that the budget presented by TDP is nothing less than a false promise made ahead of elections.
