NTR as Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose!

Today, the nation celebrates Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s 123rd birth anniversary. The unsung hero is considered real reason for our independence. Bose built Indian National Army (Azad Hind Fauj) and garnered support of different countries to fight Britishers.

He also met German Nazi chief Hitler. Netaji had believed in women empowerment in those days that women commanders played crucial role in his army. There is never debate over his death mystery. Bose was believed to be died in a plane crash in Taiwan in 1945 at the close of World War 2.

Famous writer Anuj Dhar has written a book titled ‘The India’s Biggest Cover Up’ on Netaji’s death mystery. Many believe that it was a hoax and he survived till late 1980s. Narendra Modi government has declassified most of the secret files about his death recently. Demand is on for declassification of remaining files and DNA test be conducted on his ashes kept in Japan.

It is said that Bose lived in disguise as Gumnami Baba, a Sadhu in Uttar Pradesh. A movie is being made in this lines by Srijit Mukherjee. There are demands that Bose’s image me printed on currency notes and a monumental statue like ‘Statue of Unity’ be built for him in West Bengal.

 

A webseries on Bose’s life and times is streaming on Netflix with Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao in the hero’s role.

Filmmakers are also planning to make a mainstream movie as a befitting biopic on Netaji with pan-Indian star hero portraying him. Telugu mass hero Jr NTR evinced interest in playing Bose role in one of his interviews. His grandfather legendary actor and former CM Late NTR appeared as Bose in Major Chandrakanth.
