YS Jagan attack case handed over to NIA

Andhra Pradesh High Court ordered National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe knife attack case of YS Jaganmohan Reddy. YSRCP leader was attacked by a youth at Vizag airport on October 25th. The first information report (FIR) was filed by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

Court gave two weeks time on December 22 directing Andhra Pradesh government and center to act according to Section 6 of NIA act. Center took decision to handover the case to NIA on Dec 31st.

On Friday (Jan 4th), the High court passed orders on petitions filed by YSRCP leaders seeking central agency to investigate the case as they don’t have faith in AP police which is governed by TDP government. Advocate Sudhakar Reddy said that the court agreed to the contention and ordered NIA to probe thoroughly to find out truth.
