TDP Minister Akhila Priya is said to be miffed with party supremo. Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister skipped CM Chandrababu Naidu’s Janmabhoomi meeting held in Nandyala district. Her excuse was that the meeting coincided with her father Bhuma Nagi Reddy’s birth anniversary.
However, political analysts feel that Akhila Priya is planning to quit TDP. It all started with police arresting two TDP workers of Allagadda Assembly constituency on PD Act. Further cops have conducted search operations at residences of her followers.
Akhila Priya surrendered her gunmen as a mark of protest against police and government. Her brother and TDP MLA from Nandyal Assembly segment Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy also surrendered his gunmen.
Home minister Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa has advised Akhila Priya not to take hasty decisions and said that she needs to learn how to deal situations in politics.
Minister NMD Farooq is planning to contest from Nandyal assembly constituency and party high command too is keen on fielding minority leader. This further irked Akhila Priya as it means end to their family domination in Allagadda and Nandyal assembly segments.
Upcoming cabinet meeting will decide the fate of leaders in the segments. Buzz has it that Akhila Priya may jump into Janasena if TDP doesn’t heed to her.
