Jagan’s wife YS Bharathi has been named accused by Enforcement Directorate on Friday. ED included Ms. Bharathi’s name as an accused in the Bharathi(Raghuram) Cements case. A charge-sheet has been filed before the Special CBI court in Hyderabad.
Ms Bharathi has been listed A5 in the charge sheet while her husband YS Jagan is A1. YSRCP Rajyasabha MP Vijaya Sai Reddy is also one among the accused.
The case filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act stated assets worth is Rs 750 crore including fixed deposits in the name of Ms Bharati.
Allegedly, funds are transferred to Raghuram cements through Hawala routes from various accounts. The ED appealed to the special court to punish the accused under Section 3 of the PMLA Act.
Jagan suspected foul game by ruling TDP party in including Bharathi’s name as accused. “Ruling party is doing this out of personal grudge. They seem to be determined to trouble my family. Will my wife have to revolve around courts?” asked the opposition leader. Further he alleged that two members in Enforcement Directorate has good contacts with TDP party.
