Finance Minister Piyush Goyal is presenting 2019 Union Budget 2019 in the parliament. Big news is that IT limit has been raised to Rs 5 lakh from existing limit of 3 lakh.
Gratuity limit has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 30 lakh. Farmers will be getting 6000 per year under Kisan Scheme benefiting 12 crore farmers all over India. He highlighted that 50 crore people have enrolled to Prime Minister’s ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme to get medical treatment.
FM said that 1.53 lakh houses have been constructed under Pradhan Manthri Awas Yojana. He highlighted that 14 AIIMS were established after 2014
FM proudly claimed that India is sixth largest economy in the world climbing the ladder from 11th position since 2014. GDP has rose tremondously. Inflation is brought down to 4.6 percent from double digit prior to 2014.
The current account deficit is estimated to be 2.5 percent while fiscal deficit is down to 3.4%. MNREGA is granted Rs 60,000 crore.
