A 8-year-old girl was molested by 50-year-old man in Dachepally near Guntur recently. It sent shock waves across the state. Public protested demanding strict punishment. Government moved on war foot to nab the culprit. CM Chandrababu Naidu himself monitored the case. He directed the IG and the district SP to rush to the spot and ensure that strict action is taken.
Police held search using drones and found that the man committed suicide by hanging to a tree. It is believed that he was killed by people or police. CM held series of meetings with officials on the issue and vowed to bring laws to harshly punish those who sexually assault children.
Naidu flagged off a state wide campaign to make public aware of laws against sexual crimes. Its a good move by the CM setting aside political motives. People are appreciating the initiative. Naidu visited victim’s place and vowed to take care of education and other expenses. Actress Dia Mirza lauded Naidu for adopting the victim.” Admire you @ncbn! You are a good person” Tweeted she.
Children’s rights activist and Noble peace prize winner Kailash Satyarthi too commended CM for his efforts.” We need more leaders like @ncbn in our country who prioritise the safety and welfare of our children. His declarations and concrete actions today prove his statesmanship & he can count on my full support as we work together to make a safer India for our children. #WeForHer” Wrote he.
